The Neuroscience Institute is recognized across the country and around the world for our care of babies, kids and young adults with all types of neurological disorders. We bring together experts from pediatric neurology, pediatric neurosurgery and developmental pediatrics to deliver family-centered care and excellent outcomes for your child.
Neurology care
Our neurology team is specially trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the brain and nervous system. We care for kids with conditions like stroke, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, neurometabolic disorders and epilepsy.
Neurosurgery treatment
If your child needs surgery, our neurosurgery team provides surgical treatment for all types of disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord and skull including epilepsy, hydrocephalus, traumatic injury, brain tumors, and facial and skull deformities. Neurosurgeons work closely with other specialists at Children’s Colorado to form multidisciplinary programs and clinics such as the Craniofacial Clinic, the Neuro-Oncology Program, and the Epilepsy Program.
Developmental Pediatrics
Our Developmental Pediatrics sees children with a variety of developmental and neurobehavioral differences such as autism spectrum disorders, X&Y chromosome variations, fragile X and developmental delay. The team also provides patients and families with educational resources to understand a diagnosis, cope with the challenges they might face, and find appropriate therapies or interventions.
